What are the hours of the school day?
Our hours are between 6:00 am and 6:00 pm.
What is the teacher-to-child ratio?
Ratios vary by classroom and teacher.
Do children receive a report card?
No, but we have created an age appropriate daily sheet that is given to you, the parent everyday. This allows you to monitor your child's behavior, progress and communicate with our staff. Monthly newsletters are also sent out to inform you of upcoming activities that your child's class will participate in.
Does Children of Destiny provide meals or snacks?
Yes, we serve breakfast up to 8:00 AM and an afternoon snack..
What if my child is allergic to certain types of foods?
We require that parents alert us to allergies for inclusion in the child's medical file. Based on the prohibited foods, an allergy plan is created and the child's teachers are alerted. When a food on a child's prohibited list is served, the child receives a substitution.
Do you require parents to volunteer their time at school?
Parents are not required to volunteer.
What is the tuition and how is it paid?
Tuition is due every Monday for that week. Children of Destiny acceptscash, personal checks and money orders. Our rates are given below but please contact our director for prices specific for you and your children.
Tuition Rates:
Full-time Rates - One Child: Infant $120.00; 2 Years $100.00; 3-5 Years $90.00
Part-time Weekly Rates 3 Days or Less - One Child: 2 Years $64.00; 3-5 Years $58.00
A 5% discount will be given for 2 or more children within a family.
Children of Destiny Before and After School Care Rates for Grades K-5th:
Registration Fee: $25.00
Hours Before: Open at 6:00 a.m. through 8:00 a.m.
Hours After: Open at 3:30 p.m. through 6:00 p.m.
Tuition Rate Before OR After One Student: $40.00 weekly
Tuition Rate Before AND After One Student: $55.00 weekly
During the before/after school program, if your child attends the center for a
full day there will be a $20.00 charge.
A 5% discount will be given for 2 or more children within a family.
Holidays:
Before & After School Care Center will be closed on the following holidays; New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr., President’s Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day & the day after, December 23–26 for Christmas.
**Tuition charge is payable on the holidays that the center is closed.
